FAQ's
- What is the device pass code?
- How do I pair my phone with the speakerphone?
- Turn both devices Off and On.
- Make sure that the YD-V16 is in "Pairing Mode" by holding the "Menu" button for about 3 seconds.
- On your phone's Bluetooth setting, search and add the YD-V16. Note: Please refer to your phone's user manual for the procedure on how to setup Bluetooth devices.
- Select the YD-V16 from the device list on your phone.
- Enter "0000" (4 Zeros) if promted for the passcode. Note: The YD-V16 will display "Pairing OK" on the screen if you that the pairing if paired successfully with your mobile phone.
- It is highly recommended to have your phone manual accessible during this process so that you can
reference how to enable your Blutooth options on your phone. If you dont have the manual handy, please visit your local provider for help on how to activate your phone's Bluetooth options.
- How come the pass code does not work?
- You need to make sure that the YD-V16 is in "Pairing Mode"
- How do I transfer my contacts to the YD-V16
- This feature is dependent on your phones capabilities. Please refer to your phone's user manual.
- Option 1:
(via AT Command)
- Press "Menu" twice, the device will prompt you to donwload the contacts.
- Press "Answer" button to activate and start the transfer. Note: "Downloading..." will appear while the transfer is in progress. The transfer process takes about 5-10 mins to complete. The backlight of the device will not stay on during the transfer process.
- Option 2:
(via OPP Bluetooth Profile)
- Access your phone Bluettoh menu options.
- Under paired devices select YD-V16.
- Disconnect your phone from the device. DO NOT delete the Bluetooth device from your phone.
- Next under Bluetooth Menu, select "Transfer Address Book". NOTE: If this options is unavailable, refer to your phones' user manual for instruction on how to transfer contacts via Bluetooth.
- Select the YD-V16 to proceed with the transfer
- During the transfer process, the YD-V16 Caller ID display will show "Downloading". NOTE: This process will take about 5-10 minutes. the baclklight of the device will not stay on during the transfer process.
- Once the download process is complete, the Caller ID display will show "YD-V16"
- Reconnect with the YD-V16, via your phones Bluetooth menu options. NOTE: Your phone name should appear on the Caller ID display if your phone is connected with the device.
- Do I have to charge the device for 8 Hours before first use?
- No. All of the Yada products come pre-charged therefore it will be fully functional right out of the box. We already charged the battery for you during production. It is recommended to charge the device while driving during the first couple of usage.
- Will my YD-V16 work with an iPhone or a Blackberry?
- Yes, please refer to your phones manual to access your Bluetooth settings.
- Caller names are not appearing on the device LCD screen. What should I do?
- For the names to appear on the caller ID display, you must need to successfully transfer your phone contacts to the device. NOTE: During and incoming call, the number will appear first then followed by the name.
- How do I know if the YD-V16 is fully charged?
- If the red LED charging indicator shuts off, the device is fully charged.
- Not all of my contact names from my iPhone appear on the Caller ID display after I successfully transfer my address book to the YD-V16, What shoud I do?
